The Garden World of Jane Austen

Join the Massachusetts Region for "The Garden World of Jane Austen" with Jana Milbocker.

Austen loved gardens. She had a keen interest in flowers and kitchen gardening and described gardens in her novels and letters. Learn about the flowers and gardens of Jane Austen’s world—from her personal cottage garden to the grand estates that she visited and wove into her novels.

Milbocker is an avid gardener and designer who combines horticulture, design, and travel tips to educate, inspire, and delight both new and seasoned gardeners. She has lectured at a multitude of flower shows, garden clubs, horticultural societies, and libraries and is the author of garden travel guides to the Mid-Atlantic, New England, and Florida. Her most recent book is Gardens of the Gilded Age: Lavish Landscapes from America’s Golden Era.

This event is open to the public. It is also available via Zoom.

Cost to attend is $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers.
