San Diego Region: House of England's Jane Austen Day
Oct 24
3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
House of England's Jane Austen Day
Join the San Diego Region for an afternoon at House of England's Jane Austen Day where we will hold a table read of a new play by Sara Wesley McBride: Jane Austen's Deleted Scenes and Illegal Mash-ups—The Mansfield Park Edition. We'll focus on potential "missing scenes" from the conclusion of the novel. And we'll discuss second loves by Austen's characters who were never meant to meet.
Our event will include two short acts with an intermission. Tea and biscuits will be served.
Our gathering is part of House of England's Jane Austen Day, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The day will include a Regency Promenade, photo opportunities with Mr. Darcy, and an information booth hosted by our region.
